                                              Medical Clinic

• Open every Wednesday evening on a first-come-first served basis for new and returning patients with a medical need.
• Each evening we see 20-25 patients, depending on what is presented.
• We have nine volunteers who come every week for Wednesday evening clinic.
• In addition, each week we have an additional 12-16 volunteers, medical and non-medical, who come on a rotating basis.
• Our volunteer base for the medical clinic, which includes doctors, nurses, physician's assistants, interpreters, pharmacists, and administrative personnel number around 160.
   
• Medical Clinic is also opened on Wednesday mornings, by appointment, for follow-up patients.  This was started earlier this year and has allowed us to increase our patient load by 50%. The patients like having appointments and this arrangement has allowed more consistency in follow-up care for our chronically ill patients.
• One volunteer doctor staffs this morning clinic allowing continuity of care.
• All other volunteers on Wednesday mornings come weekly, thereby simplifying the scheduling.
